Ronald is a grumpy Pokemon. It's hard to believe that someone like Karo is his son! He seems to be mean, but it's just him being protective! If he had his way, the Ditto would've still been in his care today! But, seeing that Karo has a nice, caring group of friends, he trusts that his son will be fine on his own.
He's also a construction worker, but he doesn't normally do his job any more. It's a wonder he hasn't gotten fired.
